Composition Roofing & Asphalt Shingles

Composition roofing, also known as asphalt shingles, is one of the most popular roofing materials across Oregon, and the United States. These shingles are made from a fiberglass mat, coated with asphalt and mineral granules. Here’s why composition roofing is a preferred choice for many homeowners in Oregon:

  • Affordability: Composition shingles are cost-effective, offering a great balance between price and durability.

  • Variety: Available in a wide range of colors and styles, they can complement any architectural design for your home or business.

  • Durability: These shingles are designed to withstand various weather conditions, from heavy rain to high winds, making them ideal for Oregon’s varied climate.

  • Ease of Installation: Quick and straightforward installation reduces labor costs and time.

Metal Roofing

Along with composition roofing, metal roofing is gaining popularity for its exceptional durability and energy efficiency. Here’s why metal roofing in Oregon is a smart choice:

  • Longevity: Metal roofs can last 50 years or more with proper maintenance. They also come with the longest lasting warranty, speaking volumes for their expected lifespan and performance.

  • Durability: Metal roofs have a Class A fire rating, making them the most resistant to fire. They are also highly resistant to rot, hail, wind, and insect damage, continuously standing up against all the elements Oregon can throw at them.

  • Energy Efficiency: Reflecting solar radiant heat, metal roofs can reduce cooling costs by up to 25% as metal roofs reflect the energy from the sun vs. absorbing the heat into the home. It also works to retain heat in the winter months, keeping your home comfortable all year long.

  • Aesthetic Appeal: Modern metal roofing comes in various styles and colors, adding a sleek, contemporary look to any building.

Membrane Roofing & TPO Roofing

For flat or low-slope roofs, membrane roofing, also sometimes known as TPO (Thermoplastic Olefin) roofing, are excellent options:

  • Energy Efficiency: TPO reflects sunlight, helping to reduce cooling costs.

  • Durability: Resistant to dirt, algae, and bacteria, TPO is a low-maintenance option for low slope areas that may collect debris and moisture.

  • Flexibility: TPO can accommodate building movements and thermal expansion and contraction without cracking or splitting.

What Roofing Materials Don’t We Cover?

While we strive to offer a comprehensive range of roofing solutions, there are a few materials we do not cover:

  • Asbestos Roofing: Due to health risks associated with asbestos, we do not install, repair, or remove asbestos roofing materials.

  • Thatched Roofing: This traditional roofing method, using dry vegetation like straw, is not part of our service offerings due to its rarity and the specialized skills required.

  • Green Roofing: Although environmentally friendly, we currently do not install green roofs, which involve a layer of vegetation over a waterproof membrane.
